About the Product
We are building GrantFox, a platform that enables secure payouts through trustless smart escrows on the Stellar blockchain. The platform allows funders, whether foundations, DAOs or well-funded startups, to create funding agreements (and some may be tied to specific deliverables), ensuring that payments are only released when milestones are approved.
By automating payouts and enforcing accountability, GrantFox builds trust, reduces risk, and creates a reliable infrastructure for funding innovation in Web3.
Problem & Solutions
Problem
Web3 payouts today are often informal, manual and unreliable.
Grants, bounties, and prizes are still managed through spreadsheets, Discord messages, and manual wallet transfers, with no standarization, automation, or on-chain enforcement of milestones.
This creates frequent issues: delays, lack of transparency, and uncertainty around if and when builders will get paid. In some cases, funds are promised but never delivered, leaving participants unprotected. Builders and the payout providers need the assurance that funds are real, locked, and will only be released upon verified work.
On the other side, foundations, DAOs, blockchains, and more lack a dedicated platform to manage and track their outgoing payouts in a structured way. They often work with fragmented tools to handle applications and disburse funds. There’s no easy way for them to prove that funding decisions were followed through, or to monitor how and when payments were executed.

GrantFox is built as a two-sided platform, serving both those who distribute funding and those who receive it. Our main customer segments are:
- Payout Providers Organizations that distribute funds and need transparency, control, and automation in their payout programs. These include:
DAOs and protocol treasuries, L1 and L2 foundations, hackathon and bounty organizers, accelerators, angel investors seeking milestone-based accountability, and more.
These customers need a secure and traceable system to manage payments, minimize manual overhead, and reinforce trust with their communities.
- Grantees (Startup projects and builders) Individuals and teams who apply for funding and deliver work across Web3 ecosystems, including:
Independent developers, startups, and public goods contributors, hackathon winners, DAO contributors, open-source teams, etc.
